it is nothing but a set of beliefs.
And i am unhappy because a lot of doctrine are created by bunch of bulls, esp those MIW. And they are happy in their own doctrine. Pity. Pathetic.

hi seniors newbie here. i highly recommend a movie called "The Pursuit of Happyness", although its a 2006 movie, i feel there's lots of life lessons to learn from that single movie. its actually a biography of a guy named, Chris Gardner.

Frankly there is not much one can learn from the movie as it a dramatisation of the true story.Some things were created for effect.Chris Gardner is not the norm.Poor black boy rags to riches story.Everyone have different "movie scripts" in life.The luck of the draw so to speak.Call it fate.The most sensational truth is he was raped by a man when he was a boy.He used drugs to enhance his sex life and he cheated on his wife.All things are forgiven when a man becomes rich and successful.I'm sure some here have experience "miracles" in his life.So not that strange.
My advice to TS is whether he sees a glass half full or empty ( meaning negative attitude).Half full or half empty is really the same thing or truth.It's how he wants to percieve reality. Good luck.

The truth is that the universe conspires against a man with a name like Chris Gardner. For every 35,000 thousands people by the name of Chris only one may achieve greatness. If your name is Chris I suggest you change it to Blake or Lazarus.
What's wrong with using drugs to enhance one's sex life? Everybody needs help in one form or another sometime in this department. But if you are paying for the service tell the girl that you need a bit more time to get ready. I'm sure she wouldn't charge you for the "waiting time".
If you really want to lead a happy and fulfilling life get a cab licence and drive a cab. Anytime you hop into a taxi in Singapore you'll see how happy a cab driver is. He is always smiling, chatty and positive about life and the future of this great country.
There should be a movie about Chris Gardner as a billionaire cab driver. Maybe we could get Chow Yuen Fat to star in it.
Another thing please don't try to separate movie from reality and truth. Because our religion tells us we are all acting in a movie in real life. You're not being paid like Chow Yuen Fat maybe because you are short.

Rats in a shopping mall restaurant. This is not the first time. I think we are worse now as compared to those street hawkers era in the 60s.

I would imagine the 60's in SG were great days...a young nation taking off in uncharted territory. It probably was a much happier time. Less people less crap. One must remember what LKY said - I done what I could do now it is time for you to take charge of the ship and steer it into the future.
Cautionary tale for you maybe something to think about...if one is unhappy in Singapore, do you think you think you would really be happy in another place such as wherever on the globe?
No matter where you go there you are and there is something about those rats.
