Hyperrealism

Maelstrom

Caught rather unexpectedly, the red skies came furiously over the city however I was only intending to shoot the barriers leading into marina bay sands initially.

Did a quick panorama to record the skies too and wished I did not set the barriers so awkwardly. But I guess it fits the title well.

Camera Info:
Canon 5d Mk 2 | Canon 16-35 f2.8L Mk2 | ISO 100 | f 9.0 | focal length 16mm (8 tile 4 exposure hdr panorama)

SOLAR

A piece that took me 2 days of processing to complete. Actually I think it took me 1 day to actually conceive the idea and workflow of processing this image and about 5 hours to put that in motion.

I guess this image is only best appreciated by photographers that have tried to shoot the same composition and get it all to work together soundly and the towers vertically straight.

Hope you like the image as much as it was a challenge for me to bring it to you.

Camera Info:
Canon 5d Mk 2 | Canon 8-15 f4L Fisheye | ISO 100 | f 11.0 | focal length 13mm ( 3 tile manual blended vertorama, 4 exposure digital blend)

Speechless... u the man!

Blade Runner

"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those... moments... will be lost in time, like tears... in... rain. Time... to die..."

Caught the movie as I think I've never seen it before.. it was truly a visual treat considering its time of production.

Camera Info:
Canon 5d Mk 2 | Canon 70-200 f4L IS | ISO 100 | f 8.0 | focal length 135mm (4 exposure digital blend)

Townsend Discharge

The skies were magnificent. However I was on the wrong side after being kicked out from my original location.

It's still quite amazing to see the sky literally paint the town red though...

I really dig this. The frame in the foreground makes the entire image come together. Excellent excellent shot. :)

Memorial

Death is inevitable but we never do die. Our presence lives on in those that carry on living. All it takes is a memory and it almost seems those that have passed are with us once again.

In remembrance of Zul.

Aww thanks Andy, I don't think its cause of the fuji. I just focused more energy into compositions lately. But thanks again for visiting!

Careful positioning of rocks to achieve a full image is a balancing act. Just abit too much and the image get cluttered. Sadly, from next year, this place will not be my playground any longer as I will move up north of Singapore making it harder to come here as often as I am able to now.

This place will always hold fond memories for me as where I learn't to appreciate the sea and its bounty of treasures.
