Hybridism with Sony HDR 660EV

I was totally surprised while shooting a wedding and using Sony HDR 660EV.

I set the camera to shoot on 50i. When i went home and viewed the files under DCIM, I saw that it had periodically captured scenes from the video! It isn't too bad at 20 Megapixel.

Does anyone know of this too?

I've experienced something similar — finding unexpected stills after a shoot (was with a previous gen sony camcorder)..haha.
