The rent is not as low as you think. If you know the rental for the old tk and new tk shop at funan ... u will be surprise how they can survive.

frankly 7-10k for that space in funan is considered quite cheap. The market rate should be much higher

Actually I find camera bags to be a lot cheaper in Singapore than overseas. USA, Canada, Australia all more expensive than SG. Even Malaysia, China are more ex than SG for some of the more popular brands.

maybe u want to try on taobao? I did saw the price much much lower than SG. only problem is have to wait for the shipping to Singapore.

I am based in China and buy 90% of my stuff on on TB. I find their prices higher for the brands of bags I shop. Especially think tank.

Yes for bags I find Singapore, HK prices better within Asia. But nothing beats Amazon for brands like Domke. Imagine USD99 for Domke J2 vs local prices here

Lowepro really depends. Most of the time I see higher prices than SG, especially the new models.
