Hi,

Does anyone has noise issue with this lens ? Both sound and grainy pictures. Is this a slow lens when AF ? Heard some expert telling my student's friend it is slow in AF and noisy. Can anyone enlightening us ?

no lah!

AF is fast, and noise grain usually is not very much affected by lenses... more on the sensor though.. although shadow resolution may be something that the lens plays a part in

For this lens, AF is fast enough for me.

my fm likes it too

i think 80-200mm( one touch ) is a better lens than 70-300mm VR. Pricing is almost the same, just that 80-200 is a constant aperture and 70-300 has a VR on it. well, for me i think that 80-200 is sharp when zoom or not, its constant at f2.8 . if u wanna do night shot with 70-300 VR, you will still need to mount on tripod. 80-200 as well. Well, for me personally, a 80-200 f2.8 would be a great lenses to buy.(one touch version). its almost same price as 70-300 VR second hand.;)
