How would you transport your tripod?

I have the same combo, 190xprob + q3 and I use a strap. Choose a wide enough strap and it carries fine. Backpacks with tripod attachment points on the back tend to stick out too far. Attachment points on the side are nice but tend to unbalance the whole bag (strapping a water bottle on the other side works but then everything is heavier).

I have a Benro, comes with a nice bag. If going overseas, I will check-in. Then sling the bag during walk-around. If I am anticipating frequent use of it, I will leave the bag and sling the tripod from my belt and hold it with my left hand to prevent it from swinging too excessively. In Singapore, I will simply grab one of the legs and walk around.

I'll carry my tripod in tripod bag, slung over shoulder together with my CompuTrekker AW..

nobody here uses the optech tripod strap?

I used to...Till I lost my strap when I took it off for a month.

In a bag, and over the shoulder. I think it's best if you have a special tripod bag for it, most comfortable solution. Always good to have a tripod that can be retracted to such an extent that it is easily carried around, it's all about having the best mechanism
