How to take apart an LC-A?

Hi,
I have this LC-A which I stupidly bought off this lady, and it turned out that the shutter was faulty. Took it to a shop in adelphi and the guy said there was no saving it because there was corrosion thanks to the battery. Is there anywhere that can really take the camera right apart and at least save some of the bits? Like really take the entire thing apart. Or if anyone knows how to do it and would like to share that'd be magnificent too.

its actually quite easy to fix. get yourself some tin sheets and you probably can make your own battery terminals to replace to corroded ones.

Oh cool really? I could replace the battery terminals? See I've already gone and bought myself a new lomo but I like the old ones cos the aperture can be adjusted. Any tips on how to replace the terminals??

crack the case open, go to those scrap metal places and get enough tin sheet to bend/cut into exactly the same shape. you might actually be able to get away with it if you just cut away the corroded portion and solder the new tabs on.

u mean the new ones cannot be adjusted???

Yupp the aperture settings aren't manual. Which is a little annoying. Is there a possibility that the corrosion went deeper? Otherwise I'm sure the guy at the camera shop would've said that it was just the battery contacts that needed changing right!

Great, thanks for your advice. After much prying and tweaking I managed to get the thing open, there was some corrosion but interestingly enough there was no wire connected to the battery terminal. I figure this is waay beyond me so I thinks I shall send it to objectifs or something
