how to resize a photo using photoshop?

From the main menu of Photoshop, click IMAGE. Choose IMAGE SIZE from the sub menu and then enter the size you want. 600x400 pixel picture might do well for online posting.

u need to save the image as jpg with compression level of 6 to 7 .... that will bring down the size ..

Do a file save as, JPEG, then key in a level of 4-5.
