Hi NM, recently my website has this new feature and I 'm trying to see if I can post the below slide show on CS.It doesn't seem to have a link when i created this slide show

It works on my website forum but it didnt seem to work here. Any advices? :)

Thanks /Stan

Below is the link that I just paste on my web forum and it works but not on CS?

<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" quality="high" width="320" height="200" align="" src="http://www.zenfolio.com/zf/code/slideshow.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" allowFullScreen="true" flashvars="id=739061502&background=0xf5f5f5&delay=5&transition=2&loop=1&allowfs=1&allowthumbs=1&showlink=1&allowtitles=0&showtitles=1&frame=0xcccccc"></embed>

hi hosea,

you are talking about this feature here, i presume

this is flash based, i don't think cs will support it

from what i see, it "plays back" the images from your zenfolio gallery.. therefore don't think they create a specific file in any location per se, so no link.

if there is a way, i am not sure, have to ask the admin here.

anyways, some alternatives for you can be found on here. hope this helps.

Thanks again NM, you are right about that feature. Anyway, I had already posted to Zen to ask about it.

Vote you in;)

hosea,

i am quite free now, so i did some googling.

here is a zenfolio user forum discussion, i do not use zenfolio so i cannot try, but you can try what this "Kevin Thompson" member says there (important part in red):

The new 'embeddable slideshow' is not accessable via a 'link'. The code you are getting is actual HTML code that is used to embed into a website or blog or similar that allows embedding html code.

I am not sure why, if you are pasting the code into a hotmail email, that you are getting anything really. But now I see where you said you are deleting all the 'extras'. The 'extras' as you call them, are the code that points to your gallery. If you delete those, then the user won't be able to get to your 'slideshow'. The code has to be used in it's entirety.

If you want an actual 'link' that you can send in an email, then in edit view, select the gallery you want, and click 'edit' in the links box in the toolbox and it will show you a slideshow link there that you can send to someone so they can see a slideshow of the pictures in your gallery.

reading on, it seems like the slideshow is a different one though, but it is still a slideshow.

[edit] i suspect the youtube one is done with some form of coding, so IF there are significant amounts of zenfolio user in clubsnap, the admin/mod team might consider making it embeddable. otherwise, since clubsnap doesn't really accept html code, i don't think you have any choice other than the slideshow that can be linked externally.. :)

Hi Stan,

We are unable to support this feature as it requires HTML to be enabled on the Forums. This poses a huge security risk (enabling rogue code to be run) which is the reason why it has been disabled.

Thank you for your understanding.
