How to Create movie using still picture?

I tried using Snazio DV creater software (come with my Canon Camcorder) to create movie for my photo collection to view using any DVD player. It gives me following problems

1. If the first picture in horizontal and followed by vertical view, the end of the horizontal picture will still be seen on the vertical picture. It looks like vertical picture put ontop of horizontal picture.

2. If I add music, the music is not smooth, especially at very transition of the picture.

I then try to use Window movie maker to create movie. Everything ok. The transitions & the music is smooth & perfect but it is a HighMAT format CDs. I can not play it using my pioneer or shinco DVD player. Can only be view using real player in computer.

Appreciate if anybody can guide me to solve the above problem?

On the Windows environment, you can try using Windows Photo story 3, which is dedicated to making photo slideshow video.

You need to use a program that will author the DVD so it complies with the DVD specs. If you just copy files to the disc, it will only play on PC.

Just to thank "the mac 13" & "jaegering" for your input. I created DVD using still piture sucessfully. The problems i have mentioned above all solved. Thanks again.

Use Nero. It will help you burn into DVD playable format. It also allow you to add Text, Credits, titles and its simple. :thumbsup:
