How to add more contrast in films?

Hi,

May I check with you all, how to add a little bit more contrast to my photos, give it a bit more punch and more saturated colors(either in B&W or Color). Provided that I'm NOT doin my own dev and scan, so is there any tweaks on the camera settings itself which I can pull and push. I'm shooting with Nikon FE2 with 50mm f/1.8 AIS and 28mm f/2.8 AIS.

Thanks!

Use Red Filter
Can also experiment with other colors like Yellow, Orange and Green

Red or yellow filter for black and white films. For colour films, underexpose by 1/3 to 2/3 stop for slides, and overexpose by 1/3 to 2/3 stop for negatives.

Thanks a lot! :) Now I need to buy some filters, I can't wait. :)

Thanks, for the under and over expose tip, can I use the exposure compensation dial in my Nikon FE2? or I need to do it using the shutter dial.

other tips :
1. use a circular polariser filter
2. shoot during good light
3. use a good lab to develop n scan yr photos
4. make sure yr lens n filter are clean
5. use fujifilm velvia slide

U can also set your iso setting to 1/3 or 2/3 away from the actual film speed.

Yup, set ISO to a larger number than the film speed to underexpose and a lower number than the film speed to overexpose.
