Hi guys, i am new to event coverages and am supposed to cover 1 event for a full day of photography from 8 to 5. Can someone here give me a rough sense or idea on how much the average quote should be like.

pls assist guys.

Thanks

Best is to surf around the many wedding photographers websites locally. Some would show their rates. Look at their sample works and details of the packages. One can be different from the other. Then based on your personal skill level and assessment, you should be able to know where you stand and how to quote. Cheers.

Is the photos used commercially? is it gonna be given to them on a CD? basically cover your overhead cost then mark up from there i guess.

Its a company event. Some stress free workshop i guess. They have requested me to cover the event and returned in CD.

I think looking around wedding photographers prices to get a rough idea on how much to charge is is not that easy as well. It seems that there are too many photographers and it sometimes looks as though the new guys with less experience and 'okok' shots are also pricing themselves very high similiar to those real pros....... and there are some whose quote are darn too cheap (rather give it for free). : )

If you don't have to correct any of the images, then you can charge lower

But if you have to, then you can charge more lor.

how much you want to earn?
