How much is Adobe Photshop CS5 CD?

So, if I am a student and I have the education edition, I can't use it for commercial work?

Not sure about the cs5, but I have the cs4 student edition and there is nothing on the box that says education edition.

I think there is no need to buy the student edition if you are really a student, coz it usually comes bundles with the computer that you get from school.

Not necessarily....because once you graduate, under the license agreement must uninstall prior to graduation and also not all courses require Photoshop and so on as could be irrelavant to their course.

However, there should be an option to upgrade the Student Edition to the full edition that gives license to produce works for commercial purposes...can check with the school/adobe on this.

please check out the t&c on the website provided earlier, you must be in a school fitting the conditions stipulated there.

so yes, you can buy student edition but once again, you should not use it for commercial purposes.

yes, i was checking this out.

it is sad, in the us (and now uk, with cs5), licensing states that:

1) student edition can be used for commercial work
2) student edition can continued to be used even after educators/students are no longer with their school or any other school

hopefully asia,etc will do it soon.

Err, have you got a link to that? Interesting to find out, shame I'm not a student anymore Mind I could probably become an educator easily enough.

sure. just to make sure, go to www.adobe.co.uk - that's the uk site,

go to communities tab --> students and educators

click on students on the side

go to students and teachers edition at the bottom

then faq at the side

it's still cheaper than $1K though! do note that all along this applied in the US, now they are extending it to UK.. definitely a good thing, though the price might possibly go up when they extend it to asia.
