How much is a tripod strap?

can this optech strap fit manfrotto monopods too? trying to find some way to carry my monopod on the shoulder...

okei guys, sorry for the delay as was busy.

I have just got the Optech Tripod Strap at $20 from Alan Photo (Sim Lim Square - 1st Level).

When I walked into the shop, saw another guy, holding the strap in his hand, asking one of the staffs there about the price of the strap too. He happened to be jeff..opps, there are a few jeff here.

Think their quoted price was $22 or $23. But after some bargaining, we said that both of us will get 1 each, so 2 cheaper la..in the end, he gave us $20 for each.
Still a good buy when most shops are selling for $30.

There's still a few left in the box when we left on Saturday.
So whoever is interested maybe can go with a few others, then can bargain for a lower price. Or if you can a strong bargainer, maybe you can get lower than $20??

Hi, seriously speaking. It was what the guy (don't know who) quoted me. No bargains.

Then, i asked price for lenspen, he quoted $10.

Asked for bundle price, he offered $25!!!

The strap will work with the U8000, I'm using it with my strap.

When I carry my monopod around, I put the Optech strap on it.

What i do is to hang one side around the monopod head and the other side between the extension locks.

BTW, i bought one 2nd-hand for $20. :cry: That was many months back~

Yes, it works well and is comfortable.

To ChinShiong: You can consider getting this too. (if you need pictures of it attached to the tripod, i can take some too)

To mervlam: I got it for $20 and is not too much for my tripod. Even if it's $30, I'll still get it for the sake of the convenience and comfort. Furthermore, I could keep this tripod strap, even after i don't use the U8000 anymore, and use it with other tripod that I might upgrade too. So it's pretty a good investment.
And ya, it's not too long for this tripod either.

vince, I would really love to but I do not own any digicam...

I'm using a huge ballhead on my light monopod....and i am able to clip and tighten one side of the strap at the ball area and not slip. The other side just clip between the locks of the monopod. My description is not very good. Hope you get the picture. I do not know whether it will work with small heads like 234RC. Another alternative is to tie it around the small strap that comes with most monopod. i think i am using the latter method.

Just let me know again which part you don't understand and I will try to describe better.

gosh sold out already? went down AP today and Anthony tried looking for one on the racks, box etc, but alas, none. He said it should be in tmrw though. Looks like CS is a more powerful advertising medium than the press or media.

btw, any idea how much does the optech bag strap go for?

bag strap should cost around $30 (if I remember correctly at MS Color). using it for my "office" bag and it worked great.
