How much is a new 30D

Heard that prices has dropped, can you guys tell me how much is a new Canon 30D Body sells for in Singapore.

I checked at TCW and Body alone is $2150.00. Isn't that expensive? When i was at Hong Kong last week, most reputable stores are seeling for about $1800 plus.

With the new GST increase, how to buy camera stuff in SINGAPORE.

When did you get the quote? I thought there was a recent price drop for the Canon 30D. Should be much cheap then that irrc.

And yeah...... 7% GST would have a huge impact on us :cry: since camera equipment can easily reach up to the thousands and even just an extra 2% would amount to quite a bit.

Maybe the extra 2% would be the "cure" for the buy buy buy syndrome huh :sweat:

Last week. TCW local set. Saw a 2nd hand at PRIME selling for $1880 with 18-55 kit lens tempting so i am asking is it worth it.

BTW, it's about $1,600-$1,700 in HK (between HK$7900 - HK$8,300) depending on where you get it.

I got mine in Taiwan back in September and paid about 2k SGD (slightly less than that). SO, 2150 now, is way expensive i think. Should be able to get better price now.

I don't really see the linkage of the price you got in Taiwan back in September, to that at present in SG.

If so, compare with what some might have gotten from HK since months back, and $1,950 is still way expensive...?

THe point that I was getting at was that I got mine for 2K back in September and since then, I have heard that the price has dropped in Singapore. So, I believe that to pay 2150 in Singapore today would be way expensive. I think 1950 would be ok but perhaps can find a better deal if hunt around a bit more. Anyways, i am not in the business, but dont think I am the only one who thinks that 2150 for 30D is kinda on the expensive side today. Heck, if you have the cash, why not? haha..it's a great camera!

S$2150 is very steep for a 30D. The 30D price pre-GST is supposed to be only around 1.85k - 1.9k.

Called around yesterday. AP S$1890, CP S$1950, MS S$1888. In all cases, GST has been added.
