how much does it cost to replace D80 shutter

It's 1,5 year old, so no more warranty already. Thats why I want to know the cost for mapping or sensor replacement. But so far I found 1 dot only. Is it considered normal? Cos if u dun notice, u wont see it at all. But for me, I know its there already, so cannot take my eyes off it after taking a photo

I already called NSC. U believe this or not, the girl picked up my call didnt know what a dead pixel is. Then I asked for a quotation of replacing the sensor, she said she cannot tell me anything until the technician see my cam.

The only thing she told me is the charges would be $120 (w/o GST) for the general service, then plus the replaced part. :-ss

Any CS-er here gone through this issue before? Pls share me something...

I recalled someone mentioned S$300+ here but could not locate the thread anymore.

You can send the cam to NSC, ask the counter guy to give your cam an assessment and give you a quote, there is no reason they cannot provide an estimate.
