good lens but super fragile... but canon seems to know this and they repair most of the cases...

Try TCW, saw a few used 50mm there.
The new mkII looks like plastic actually...

Hehe thanks for the info guys. Actually i dont mind it being plasticky to the feel and all. When i held one that belongs to a friend, i was totally amazed how light the thing was, as compared to the Nikon equivalent. Its cheap, sharp, contrasty. Wat more can one ask for? Thanks again.

Tell me about it, mine self-dismantled after dropping it off a foot high. Bleah. :cry:
