How Models really feel about most of the photographers at It/Car Shows.

Actually the most important thing is who have the best skill to make use of existing equipment and get the most beautiful photos from the models. Though we do chats abouts lens, number of model they have shot, who they have shoot with etc. But to most events photographers, it's the photos that count. :)

Agreed. that's also the reason why I will not be getting any new lens until I can control my Kit lens.

i wonder what so nice about upskirts pictures? It is just panties .. what so nice about it?

No offence to those sickos. But I think you should refrain from these actions which make photogs looks real bad. If you really have a dying itch to get pictures like that, maybe you should try it at home with your own female family members only.

These guys are pervertedly poetic about panties. They are attracted by their mystic, hidden messages and secrecy.

They should be allowed to comtemplate such deep thoughts in the serenity of a jail cell.

yup! they can go there everyday and take the same models again and again. Good endurance! Haha.. and if the models not pretty ppl will still grumble but still take! how ironic..

Haha, as the Hokkien saying goes, "Ai Pi, Ai Qi, Ko Ai Tua....." :D

And oh, I forgot another permutation: Same Models at Different events.:)

Back to the topic, I did go to the motorshow to try out using flash with my manual camera.. but i didn't and wont ask the show girls to pose to smile.. mm, maybe my common sense told me that i should not be that rude, they are not there to entertain photographer.

However, there is something i wonder, will their eyes feel not good when using flash? i am using a common hotshoe flash, actually they don't blink their eyes.. if the flash is hurting their eyes, how u do it in model shot?

Erm.. think those model shot they'll use reflector and stuff, wont shine the flash straight into their eyes bah, cause will results in very harsh pix, normally they'll bounce the light, correct me if i'm wrong k. Completely zero knowledge on flash photography.

And those model will normally smile for the photographer because:
1) they're paid to advertise for the product and normally will pose with the product.
2) they'll never know who's the guy using the camera taking them, might be some professional photographer from some magazine so it's better to smile.
3) if they dont smile, then the company will not use them the next time, unless the model look very cool without smiling and it complements the product then it's okie.

At the recent motorshow, I seen people who use full power with the flash heads directly forward. Wonder how the models felt:confused:. Others used TTL flash systems so the flash power not so jialat. And finally there are people who use bounce cards. And yeah, full power flash straight ahead normally will result in rather harsh pics that can look flat. Bounce cards and diffusers normally will spread the light somewhat and reduces power but gives softer lighting that is both more pleasant for the photo and more pleasant for the model as well.

Well, yes the models do smile and pose out of their professionalism but they are by no means obliged to do certain poses that the photographers asked... Even those guys with press passes don't ask that much...

Haha.. PnS also can add on teleconvertor mah.. Some of them got more zoom than my kit lens leh..

Later he use 300mm lens to add on to his P&S. :bsmilie:

does anybody know on the average how much are the girls paid? just curious. :)

think with more and more higher resolutions/ zoom camera phones the situations will get worse where they'll just zoom in on the models breast, underskirt and stuff.. And since they'll keep the camera very near to them it's rather hard to notice what the're taking, thou my gf has caught one and say out very loudly:"dear!! you see that horny basta**, taking photos of the models breast!"

Hmm.. not very sure of the exact cost, but when i'm working at commex the models was paid around $120 per day, exclusive of commission.
