How Models really feel about most of the photographers at It/Car Shows.

Anyway, the respective brand booth in-charges should make the effort 2 take care of their models from being harrassed by such photographers, they should step in if when the models signal for help. I believe during the japanese race queens motor show, the gals are constantly being escort from booth to booth.
Another way is to shout out loudly what the photographer request to embrass him publicly

Nah, now my concern is not about reaching the wonderful era of knights in shining armour with the fair maidens of distress, now, I'm just voicing an opinion here relating to photography, and a rightful one in my honest opinion after careful consideration, and some bum come and say I'm wasting bandwidth. Is this a direct challenge to me? i know school holidays now so borne to have lots of nonsense from kids. Yr opinion is not related to photography, but the photographers in CS who shoot models in motor shows, BBT, Sitex, etc. Just becos a few of yr so called Female model friends said they hate those photographers, does it means every photographers who shoot in these events are Hum Sup lor?

seriously..from what i had observed from this thread the designated victim(s)/aggressor(s)(if ) which u guys having a good time poking fun of is well acquaintance with most of the models at the event.....seriously if indeed he/them fall into one of the seedy guy(s) category that the models(all?) label as wouldn't it be a bit cruel as they unwillingly leading him/them on?...really pity both(models and photogs) ....

work at the recent commex at one of the camera booth, and was one of the few guys that are standing near the models to do product explanation, and when we saw a famous group of dslr owners (i wouldnt call them photographers) guess what they said? : "wah... it's them again, dont know wanna come here how many times, request this and that, then wanna take photo with us never mind, still stand so close.."

these dslr owners really need to reflect on their behaviour, further more if the models are not very pretty, they'll grumble why the standard drop so much and stuff. if you really find them unattractive, then why take their pics in the first place?

May be organiser should limit photography to only press photographers, when i was at Computex Taipei, some models only willing to pose if you have a press pass around your neck, some even approach me for photo as they hope their photo will be published

She isnt referring to those who ask her to smile but she's referring to those who do not respect her. These range from asking her to do a more slutty pose by explicitly demostrating a posture that looked right out of Kamarsutra, or those that try to take up her skirt, or ask her to unbutton her top few buttons to reveal more cleavage.

i guess i have an idea who is this, a very old uncle, i was irritated by him at the Kallang racing. i requested a shoot of 3 model, usual smile with the umbralla shade, he just came in and start hijacking the models by flashing flashing flashing. then tell the models to bend here and there. not only so, i also saw him at turbo charge. he is still commanding the models like nobody's business and like we are no ard. i was hoping to walk up to him and say: 'uncle, you enough a not, young one rulz!!!' warning: he also carries a video cam.

big projection TV above the creative's booth. the TV will just cycle thru all the cams, showing wat each camera sees (depending on where the photographer was pointing the cam). guess wat? when the TV showed the view from dat bugger's cam, all those ard and behind him can see him trying to zoom the lens up the model's crotch...

should post his pix of give discription then i will :hammer: him for ton-nishing our name, make the young me harder to hun.

Simple logic - if she wears revealing dress, the purpose is to attract voyeurs like exhibitionists do. :devil:

Now, from my observation, some models are green with jealousy when hardly anyone wants to shoot her whereas the hot favs get all the attention in terms of flashes fired at them.:bsmilie: - the more flashes, the bigger the smiles......

i agree to this, the main thing of hiring showgirls is to attract ppl to their booth.it would be a win-win situation. however, in-view of these irritating photographers, i think more technololgy exhibitors should follow LG, set a mini barrer. and when it comes to more erotic exbition like bbt, exhibitors should hire more open showgirls, like Vicom for example. they are very outgoing and are willing to shoot.

as i am new, not to sure of good poses, i would tell them to do anything they are comfortable with, so that i learn new things too.

sad to say, i observed this when i was there shooting the recent motorshow.
one guy was so demanding and was asking the model to do lots of poses which i can tell she's not willing to do so.


i always believe in shooting them 'as is'.
they are not engaged to pose specially for you.

i totally agree. i guess becos you are a female photographer, abit out of point to shoot, i maybe becos of my age, models may tend to hav a 'play play impression of me'(i guess). i wish to change this mind-set and the first step is to remove the bai lei(s)

i huess i could remember this incident, the fellow who went down flat on the ground just to take the 'sky view', kana bomb by us, and also make the models lose trust in us liao

and i notice those photographers who bend/squat down for pics has their own different 'agenda'.

i hav nothing again the posture, but then if this is done too near the model or if she is wearing somingthing like a skirt, then it is a no no:nono:

Yea, the girls i talked to usually say things like "oh im not comfortable doing that pose" or " im sorry my company does not allow me to do so" when they get adsurb requests, otherwise, they just smile and allow their photo to be taken.

Anyway, thanks to the responses everyone, we are still so far away from being a gracious society.
