If you use CUSTOM white balance the color rendition should be accurate. Just use a grey card!
I don't have much problem with my D100. I never really needed to do colour correction in Photoshop.
What is your workflow like? Are your profiles set-up accurately?
My work station is calibrated and I discipline myself to use the right profile/setup for diferent input/output.
So from SCREEN to PRINT, the colour shift is very minute and neglible. The output is used world-wide for advertising and in the medical industry, so far I've not had a negative feed back about the colour being unacceptable.
