I suppose some older DSLRs are worth keeping as collector items? And which model would you keep?

I am just curious. :)

Err.... Btw, Handphone Camera got count or not ??

I think it should be counted in if you really use the picture it took to print out photo.

1.) Fujifilm MX-700 <--- Old cameras do not breakdown, they just get unused.
2.) Canon S1IS <--- Still going strong!
3.) Fujifilm S8000FD (Dad is using)
4.) Canon 450D

That's all I have.

interesting observation. most of you own "rojak"brand of cameras.Just puzzle ,is there a specific reason?:)
sorry, rojak means mixture of different brands ,not mean to pass scarstic remarks.(clarification);)

because canon powershot a series is  with full manual control at a low price.

me.
-Panasonic Lumix FX55
-Canon Ixus 400 (surprisingly still working, except the batt is dying off...dad using)
-Canon 500D

Reason
-Panasonic Lumix FX55 (Used friend Lumix before. personally feel that the iso and distortion control awas better than canon)
-Canon Ixus 400 (was one of the first few camera that hit 4mp)
-Canon 500D (Got it from the buy back program, good deal)

I have

1. simple PnS Canon IXUS 60 (easy to carry around n i use it for my scuba together with a dicapac casing)

2. Canon SX10 (my venture into more technical aspect of photography, let's me explore the options of manual settings, n also benefit of super zoom)

3. looking forward to move into DSLR

maybe this thread will be more meaningful if we share why we keep/use more than 1 dc

I concur, can some share on reasons for keeping more than 1 camera? :)
For myself, currently having only 40D but aiming for another (either LX3 or S90) for walkabout purposes (can't always be lugging DSLR around everywhere!).

one to shoot color, one to shoot ir, one to shoot film, one to shoot more casual stuff because seems very boh liao to use dslr to shoot such stuff. :bsmilie:

I think its pretty common for P&S cos each time a different manufacturer will come out with a good P&S and everyone need a good P&S.

And once in a while, there'll be some cheap cheap buys which some just buy for fun!!! haha..
