Yes, the flashes do require a little more sophistication.

Let's see what Oly is offering later in the year.

I won't have more money by then to get an even more expensive flash. My FL-50 is just about two or three months old so now I have to live with it. First one to replace is probably the camera body. I hope that the shutter gives up before the warranty is over and not just after.

Another option would be to sell the E500 and upgrade to a E-510 when it's launch. Then you don't have to worry about the shutter dying on you....then about 9 months down the road, change again to the E-Pro.

No, that is not a good option. All the way to E-X I'd loose money. I will not buy the E-510 since I see no reason to do it. I have one more year warraty on my E-500 and I figure with a liitle luck it will break down before that. Anyway, no point in getting an intermediate camera, the E-X shall be out before his winter or never. BTW, I don't regard getting the E-510 would be a big upgrade worth the investment. Maybe if the E-X will never come, because than I'll have no other option, just sell everything and get another brand or get the E-510. Geting the E-510 is definitely less expensive than selling all Oly stuff and switching brand.
