If this is their solution.... then, I think anyone of us can be a Minister.... just Pay.....
You bet. Even ah beng also can. LOL
Riot only ban alcohol and ban buses going to LI.
Why we need talent?

Recent projects always seems to be more on profit and loss for them...
By freeing up the land at the ECP, they can sell to the MBS.... or anyone and make more money... So they think they can recover the money...
My concern is part of the MCE is under water..... will it leak???
I find it rather surprising. Before forking out 4.3B$.. can't they run a computer simulation first?
Wasting taxpayer $$

Actually... not everything needed simulation. A little bit of common sense and an overview of the entire situation (traffic) + some planning will tell us that the entire project is going to hit a bottleneck in which the cars will jam the whole area. It seemed that those doing the planning... either didn't care, or don't drive or lack of vision or simply design it that way so as to put a gantry there to charge $$.

Yes, we need more people who will:
1. Ask the right questions
2. Be more consultative, including thoughts on whether they sound logical
3. Come up with creative, non-standard replies everytime
4. Have the motivation to always do better
5. Do something for everyone and make them happy
6. Work towards the resurrection of Steve Jobs so that the world can be a better place
7. Are careful about definitions, e.g. "reverent"
I do know one talent who fits the bill of all the above.. Unfortunately he is too busy chit-chatting and has not stepped up to the task to make Singapore a better place for you and for me and the entire human race.. :bsmilie:
Heard got one guy complained he was jammed for 2 hours in MCE…
Give me idea.
Just decided to open a few stalls around the exit area and inside MCE….. i will be selling drinks, crackers and even pop corns to the victims who where caught in the jams.
During peak periods, i will be charging extra $1 so that the flow will be smoother for my stalls, if it doesn't help. i will charge higher.
I will be a billionaire soon.
I think he should be a taxi passenger, and decided to cut his loss and walking will be cheaper?
CNA report a passenger with a $74 taxi fare....

AFAIK, the meter is calibrated so the distance is right. Else, he would be paying way more if the distance was shorter.

"The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said traffic was smooth-flowing within the MCE tunnel."
"The Marina Coastal Expressway is the widest highway in Singapore with five lanes in each direction.
It also has the smoothest road surface, the only public road which surpasses this standard is the Marina Bay Formula One Circuit."

This has to be the most perfect piece of engineering in sg. Nothing can go wrong.
