I think that's not a very fair statement... my basis being the problems I've had so far (though thankfully very little) were from fellow Singaporeans born and bred here..

Actually depends on ur luck whether u meet nice and considerate ppl or not.
I was on the bridge early round 6 for the first night. Another guy was on my right bout 1.5m apart. As it gets later, an elderly uncle(who owns a new camera:bigeyes park in 2 tripods which becomes abit squeezy.
However, he ensures that his tripods doesnt move our tripod legs and even told us where the fireworks will be fired from. :thumbsup:
Nice uncle, but i didnt get to chat with him.
