I have been using a sony handycam recording on 8cm dvd since it launched 5 yrs ago and watching and storing recorded video are so simply. As nowadays 8cm dvd is not costly, I just store them in those dvds and play them on any dvd player.
I'm now thinking of upgrading to a camcorder with HDD plus SDHC recording for my year end trips to HK and Osaka as it is troublesome to change dvd and I am wondering how do you guys store the recorded clips for these new camcorders? Do you store on external disk and if so, how do you watch it? I prefer to watch on TV and hope not to just to connect the camcorder to TV as I need to free up the memory space. Do you get a dvd burner like Canon DW-100 dvd burner and store on dvds but it requires a Blu-ray dvd player to watch on AVCHD discs which I have none of these?
