Hmm now that I think about your Q, what I use kinda depends on situation 
Used to shoot w/o straps for most part of the last 2 years - find it a restriction & a hassle. These days...
If I'm doing a short walkabout/recce with a small setup (eg dSLR+prime), I use a Peak Design Cuff (https://peakdesignltd.com/leash-cuff/) in case someone bumps into me.
For long walks or events where I use 1 cam + zoom & flash, then a sling strap like Custom SLR or BlackRapid cos it's more comfortable dealing with the weight as I move around the crowd.
Oddly... I just realized I don't use any securing when shooting events with 2 bodies w tele/wide zooms, not sure why. Maybe time to rethink... Spider Pro & Peak Design Capture for this setup.
For studio & shoots w less crowd, then no support usually. Less dangers, less restrained

I use an Op-tech neck strap and wrap it around my wrist if I get tired of hanging it there. My neck strap is shortened from how most photographers I see carry it, so the camera remains at chest level. Under most circumstances it won't swing around as much, though I can't side-sling it on my shoulder comfortably, so I always return it to the bag when not in use.

I use a Phottix Rapid strap which attaches to my tripod hole. However I am thinking of upgrading to a Carry speed sport with a C3 plate with the Benro quick release attached so that I can unhook and walk around but if i want but with flexibility to attach to my tripod easily...

Peak Design Cuff looks good! Compact and hassle free. The days when you dont need to use any straps, can just plug out. If need to use one hand, not bulky at all and the purpose is still met, which is basically to secure it to your hand incase someone bumps you.

Bought the Cuff from US some months back cos it wasn't available here yet. No spares of the Cuff but I've got an extra Leash if anyone's interested.
I went through so many straps and systems and I ended using:
Camdapter sling strap - very stable when camera not in use, will point down, and stay put. 5 seconds to remove. military grade hardware (replaceable). Real top grain leather shoulder pad. Able to use with handstrap.
OP/tech - neoprene neck strap for moments I need a neck strap instead. But do use some velcro failsafe over the plastic quick release clips. You can buy the OPtech ones or DIY.
Spider Pro - Spider pro is for my 2nd body when I am using 2 bodies. The holster will be attached to Think Tank pro speed belt or the steroid belt. I use the Carry Speed pro bottom plate instead of the Spider one.
Camdapter Hand Strap - Permanently attached to my main body over the L plate.

daredevil123, whats your typical 2-cam setup? which do you sling/spider & on which side?
My 2-cam setup for events usually = a body+telezoom and another body+widezoom+flash.
Tried the sling/spider combo previously but it wasn't so easy to manage... Being a right-hander, I found it difficult to sling the wide to my right-hand as it bounces abit with the weight on the Custom SLR Split strap. With the tele (usually 70-200) on the left side on a SpiderPro/TTSteroidBelt, it's hard to draw due to the lens length.
Not sure if you got any tips/comments to add?

I use herringbone hand strap only, less hassle when photographing. The trouble is, sometimes I need to free both of my hands, I have no choice but to put down the camera or put it inside the bag first.
Spider on left side. Sling with camera resting on right side. The 2nd body (no vgrip) with spider is always on ultra wide/wide. Main body is either 24-70 or 70-200 or 50.
The biggest reason why I got rid of blackrapid and went camdapter is because it will not bounce or swing or roll around.

Hmm the difference is probably because I have vgrip on both & flash for the body+widezoom (better weight balance when shooting but heavier/less balanced on support).
I think SGcamerastore is selling it from what I heard. Not sure about stock levels or the range they carry though. I bought mine all direct from the Jim, the owner of camdapter sometime back.

Bro lightyear2011, how do you attach your camera onto the tripod with the herringbone hand strap. The base plate of the hand strap seems to be fiimy on the click on base of my free tripod. Is the due to the tripod is not compatible with the hand strap base plate? Do you have such problem?

i have no such problem bro. i'm using sirui k20x ballhead (arca swiss type mount) compatible with the base plate of the herringbone hand strap.
i can securely tighten the base plate of my ballhead on the hand strap plate with no problem. I think your tripod plate/ballhead is not compatible with the heringgbone hand strap plate. you might consider upgrading...
