Through work and savings. have long been interested in photography before the digital format came out but it was really an expensive hobby back then and i was still a student... now that there is a job and with the digital format available, this hobby is much affordable now.

Agreed, it was SUCH a hassle with SLRs.... No trial and error unless you don't mind wasting film (AND time for the processing to see the results).... Digital is here to stay, however I'd still go back to SLRs once in a while.
