How do you carry your tripod?

How do you carry your tripod? and do u bring it everywhere you go?

Currently I carry it by hand or put it in the car. Probably not really the most convenient way cos I have to keep putting it down and picking it up whenever i wanna shoot without the tripod.

I don't bring it everywhere. Actually, i hardly bring it anywhere unless i know i'll need it just to avoid carrying it.

Tripod? I use VR lens.

Guess wat ya have mentioned is really part and parcel of fotography.

Please dun list da pros & con of tripod etc etc.

Tripod does assist in ya shootin but if ya hate carryin it ard like me or others ard.
Learn how to use da monopod well. It's da closest replacement, mobility and stability etc.

I've hardly touch my two tripods at home, so tempted to put them up for sale.;p

Do u guys think it's safe to carry a tripod in the two loops on a backpack in KL, Thailand and China?

I have been told not to do so for two reasons:

1. I won't need it

2. It'll probably get stolen

Erm... I think you should worry more about cam being stolen instead of tripod rt? :think:

Personally, I do 'local mod' by sticking gaffer tape, cable ties, el-cheapo karabiners and sling to tripod; then clipping the ensemble to my backpack's strap or simply lug on shoulder.. Same goes for my monopod..

Buy a camera backpacks bag that has a attachment loops allow to carry tripod at the side or at the center. eg. Lowepro bag: Photo Trekker AW II, Nature Trekker AW II and Pro Trekker AW II got attachment loops.

i found that my Crumpler Complete Seed also has a loop for tripods whcih seems to be quite comfortable. not sure about walking around for hours on end tho.

i carry the tripod on a normal backpack strapped to the side.
