How do stabilize a tele lens?

1) Good support i.e. sturdy tripod and good ballhead
2) Good long lens techniques. (do a google search)
3) Remote cable release
4) Sufficiently high shutter speed (basically > 1/focal length if handholding)

IS/VR technology does help but it is good not to over rely on it IMHO.

Try a bean bag!

I got one made by my gf with an piece of old jeans cloth and rice, can just put it in the camera bag and go everywhere.

The problem is that u must find something stable to put the bean bag on. :)

oh... juz like having a sand bag during army live range.

Just go out experiment. If your hands are steady enough, under normal low-light conditions should be no problem, even if u don't have VR/IS or a large aperture lens.
