how did u get the money to buy a d70 ?

IMHO, you need to consider the cost of the whole system before u indulge in it.. $2.1k may get you started, but then there're many other costs involve and soon u'd want to buy more stuff
eg. bigger memory card, good flash, good sturdy tripod, good camera bag, good filters etc etc.. and it all adds up u knw.. have u considered this point?
alternatively, if u really want to get a hold of D70.. keep saving up.. i bet u 6 mths down the road, when canon or minolta comes out wth better and newer models, sure ppl will start jumping ship.. and then u can get a good 2nd D70 for $500-$700 cheaper.. :bsmilie: noe wat i mean?

Well.... I am also trying to save $$$ to get it... I have no idea where they got the $$$ to get it... But I do know that if i really, really that desperate to get it... I can use credit cards' 0% installment.... but the price will be a bit higher than paying by cash... but... Trying hard not to. Expense rather high.... I have no idea why... Maybe too much $$$ goes to insurance and car!!!!!
