go into debt and sell backside ;)

(to the company that I work in   :D )
Agree on the sell backside part. :bsmilie: Well, if you really want something bad, you jolly well would do almost anything to get it. :blah:

cmon guys.. give him a break... ;)

IMHO, you need to consider the cost of the whole system before u indulge in it.. $2.1k may get you started, but then there're many other costs involve and soon u'd want to buy more stuff

eg. bigger memory card, good flash, good sturdy tripod, good camera bag, good filters etc etc.. and it all adds up u knw.. have u considered this point?

alternatively, if u really want to get a hold of D70.. keep saving up.. i bet u 6 mths down the road, when canon or minolta comes out wth better and newer models, sure ppl will start jumping ship.. and then u can get a good 2nd D70 for $500-$700 cheaper.. :bsmilie: noe wat i mean? ;)

so far i only got ard 400-500 plus only...LONG way to go man..by then probably D4H come out liaoz

by then I believe canon/nikon will has another brand new camera in the market :bsmilie:
I want to buy a digital camera also. If I can save $100-200 per month, then 2 years later I can get the camera

upgrade for what? the person behind the camera is the one that takes the pic, not the camera.

the picture quality sucks at most focal length u see
then alot of times i am restricted to certain types of photos because of the super lag AF which prohibits me to take sports or fast motion objects

there are alot of factors as well

there's some merit in the statement.. no matter how good the photographer is, if the equipment itself is limited.. then u really have limitation there... otherwise why would all the pros upgrade for the better equipment all the time right?

so the conclusion is upgrade when u feel that your current cam cannot accomodate your shooting needs any longer!..

mmm.. if u put michael schumacher behind a proton saga.. do you think he can win an F1 race? :nono:

Well.... I am also trying to save $$$ to get it... I have no idea where they got the $$$ to get it... But I do know that if i really, really that desperate to get it... I can use credit cards' 0% installment.... but the price will be a bit higher than paying by cash... but... Trying hard not to. Expense rather high.... I have no idea why... Maybe too much $$$ goes to insurance and car!!!!!

Hrm.... no offense, but why not aim for a 1Ds then?

With the current market situation, if you can't get the cam comfortably, don't force yourself to it. Keep the cash for raining days.

I dont have the money to buy a D70...

Thinking of doing Art instead of photography to save bucks.
Drawing block ~$1. Colour Pencils ~$5. I think I can afford those.

take a look at this thread,
living proof that u dun need expensive DSLR to take great pic,
happy shooting

okay.. living proof indeed. but one mustn't forget that post processing counts towards making the picture work.

a lot of people seem to forget that at times.

just my 2 cents.

Hrm... you have about 400-500 plus now, targeting for another 6 mths to save enough for the D70, and that excludes the lens which you'll need to shoot sports. Probably another few months more. You'll need tripod, CF cards, batteries, etc etc...

Just curious, are you a student?
