sometimes when using the minolta 7i. when focusing too near, or sumtimes even zooming in, causes the lcd to turn b/w or sepia? is it a setting? but when the shot is taken, its in full colour.. hmm
 

What were the lighting conditions when you took the pictures? At least for the 7Hi, the viewfinder switches to black and white in low-light conditions so that you can see better. This has no effect on the actual picture itself, which will appear in full colour.
 

Yupz... it sometimes happen in low light conditions.... Go read Ur manual.... I remembered coming across a section where they mentioned this......
