How come there is a booming sound from Zoom H4n ?

Thanks for sharing the comparison video. Here's what I gathered from it.

1. The audio quality of the Smartlav is just as good as the Senny.
2. The Smartlav is a good backup for the Senny, in case of wireless interference.

However, the Smartlav should not be used in place of the Senny because : (A) extra work to synch audio in post (B)It's hard to monitor the Smartlav during recording.

Yup its a great backup mic for sure. I cant afford the Sennheiser wireless lav system now so for me using smart phones as field recorders works great.

Have you tried using plural eyes for syncing audio. I heard good things about it for multiple audio syncing.

I'm sure plural eyes works great but I haven't had a need for it so far. Luckily, correcting synch is easy enough in FCP7.
Just wondering if you can use a bluetooth headphone to monitor the Smartlav?
Here's a great piece of iOS gear if you want to monitor the audio or use longer XLR cables.

Have tried it a couple of times. It's like magic ;p

If you use Premiere Pro CC, there's built-in support for audio sync, for one video and multiple audio tracks, as well as within a multi-cam sequence:
