wooohooo ... knew that this would happen sooner or later.

Have been using Hotmail quite extensively nowadays after they 'fixed' the spam problem by filtering messages (very effectively I must say - hardly get more than 2-3 spam in inbox daily, used to get lots).

do you have to activate the filters?
cause i still get swamped with junk mail...
3 days of not clearing mail is enough to reach 100% in my inbox :D

You probably left the setting at Default.

Goto Options > Mail Options > Junk E-Mail Protection

I have set mine to Enhanced.

finally....i have been using hotmail since 1996, at that time only got 1MB space, i almost give up hotmail when i got dozens of spam mails everyday and can't take much attachment with that little amount of space, now not so bad with the junk filter on. Later the mail box was upgraded to 2MB, but still not enough for attachment, ended up I got lots of mail bounce back.

Now with 250MB, wonder if there are any "catch". I heard some people already complained that now there is a limit on the amout of email you can send out everyday usin Yahoo!

Actually that's the best way to combat spam sent out from yahoo accounts. I'm surprised nobody thought of this earlier.

Woohoo! 250MB of spam every day. Wonderful. No matter what I do, my hotmail account is flooded with spam even with all junk filters on. In comparison, my yahoo mail account has been clean for years. Absolutely no spam.

yeah. i agree. the bulk mails option in yahoomail is really great. all the crap goes to there and i can immediately like empty all the trash. this piece of news is not exactly that surprising lar.... yahoo and hotmail are like nikon and canon. hotmail is doing this to counter yahoo's 100mb. hopefully, when the platform is out, its going to be as nice and smooth as the new yahoo's. :D hahaha...

That is quit a lot.

wah...hope maybe the telcos can consider increasing their pop3 acc storage after this.. my starhub account keeps getting emails with virus like netsky and its driving me nuts even though i have e.scan on.

competition does wonders .... anyone knows how to signup with gmail? https://gmail.google.com

looks like there is no link to signup.
