Good stuff!! You should have put a warning that this is NSFW, all that nude kitty action! :bsmilie: Composition can be a pain for animals that move around so fast.

So cute !!!!! but then hoh a warning leh, last time i used to play these with my kitten also, it dont hurt much when they are this small, but as they grow older and larger, they can really inflict wound if u play with them this way... everyweek, im sure to get cuts, bitemarks from my cat...

claws & bites marks... use to on my hand & arm tooo :bsmilie:

they are fine lah. most of the time they dont scratch or bite. Their paws usually remain retracted when you are carrying them.

They know how to control unless you happen to carry them and they are suddenly scared by the sudden sounds outside your house.

Anyway Raptor84, nice pictures. You used a bounced flash for that? bounced to the ceiling? Otherwise, very difficult to freeze the actions indoors?

Regards,
tltan

Yes bounced flash. Lucky his celing was white. Victor suggested i use his 580 as mian and my 430 as slave but in the end i htink the bounce was enough. I tried using my diffuser but it seems that unless you really need to fill shadows, the diffuser kills some of the 3D'ness.

thanks for sharing. Need to know as I might like to take my dog and cat at home with such system once i get my external flash (hopefully ;p ).

I saw this on the front page, thought it was in Portraits and Poses, so ignored it. Then found it in world of nature. :)

Oh yeah, warning to those shooting cats, their eyes can be sensitive to strong lights, so use bounce or string diffusers.

You can always buy a cheap 420ex if your camera already has FEC control and custom functions for rear-curtain sync... I only bought my 430ex as my film cam does not have any flash control ;p It was quite cheap too as it was from a MO...

Haha i think a title like this is portraits and poses :nono: And yes i agree with oyou on the flash. I was afraid to use bounce too much even... and what do you mean by string diffuser?

This is what happens when you try to type when brain is drained.... I meant a strong diffuser.

Really surprised to see my kitten becoming famous! (All thanks to raptor once again) My wife loves the photos too!
Yeah, was told not to allow the kitten to develop the habit of bitting and scratching, but how can I prevent that? Each time she sees me come home, she will meow so loudly (like a baby crying) and run towards me, and immediately wants me to play with her. She then start her bitting finger games non stop until she gets sleepy!

Any suggestion from anyone to cure this problem. She will get her first Jab tomorrow! (or today at 7pm) :)

I love the first and last shots! She is a gorgeous kitty! Heck, I love all the shots!!

Try not to cringe when the needle goes in.

I'd tap her forehead as a warning when she starts biting. Nothing too harsh. Must pop by some day to visit!

Yes, tap the nose or forehead and make a loud noise to let her know it's not encouraged. You can play with her using her toys and not your fingers.

hehe... i like it a lot! very well done...

Buy a scratch pole. Direct her there to scratch..the cat that is. hehe. No pun intended.

Very important, otherwise will have scratched sofa and stuff. Seriously, I know it:sweat:

When she start scratching somethings, bring her to the scratch pole or pad or watever and pull her claws through to teach her.
