so does this laminate with the matt /rough surface film like those on coffee table album?
the film i have at home is the shining one .. those we laminate on our certificate

so do i get the film or is using a cold laminate machine instead?
is my dad's asset :)

Those lamination for the coffee table book are surface lam only. either hot or cold, matte or gloss doesn't matter. its depend on the type of material.
The machine use for cert lam cannot be use for surface lam.

tks
anybody can intro me the brand / model / price?

you can use those hot laminating machine which using laminating pocket for paper document to laminating cold laminating film, just turn off the heater will do.

for laminating coffee table album, there are few types of laminating method, cold laminating film is the most economy way, you can DIY. all you need is to have a cold laminating machine (some hot laminating machine also able to use by turn off the heater) and the laminating film.

I do cold lam for my coffee table album, and have some lose film in 4.5" by few foot length to spare, you can have it to try on you machine.

you need to self collect it from Punggol, can meet at 198 Puggol Field, 24 hours coffee shop, text me @ 98260958.

tks ben ..
but this really old machine don have hot/cold switch.
:)

my suggestion to you is if you are not doing in bulk, 10 or 20 coffee table albums per year, farm it out to let someone do it for you.

it will not justified the purchase of laminating machine plus film, if you are only a few albums per year,

do note doing laminating is also very time consuming, especially you are particulate about the quality control on the laminating results.
