Any local users of this ruskie pano cam like to share some shots?

Got one in my dry box. Goodness me totally forgotten about this camera till i saw ths tread. Have'nt use it for long time. Sorry dont have a scanner which can scan the transaprency. Will have to ask my friend to do it using his Epson.
Did most shooting handheld. image quality ok between f8-11 Can't stand the loud clockwork sound of the panning lens. It attracts attention in crowded places Rather plasticky feel to the whole camera too.

I think it's quite a camera for $400 so one can probably live with its shortcomings.

Would love to see some captures when you have them ready. Are the negatives in 24x65 or larger?

your right about the pricing But unfortunatly i did not get it recently, i got it quite a few years ago when CP 1st brought it in. It cost double ot triple that amount then:{ I think the width is double the normal 35mm frame. can't be sure have to dig up my trans. Your Kinesis bag i bought from you the other time is serving me well

anyone want to sell of theirs?
i am a keen on getting one, in place of the xpan.

I'm thinking of getting a horizon 202 as well.
do they sell them at CP?
it's US$199 on ebay.

I know it's not very expensive but the QC on these things seem to have a bad rep. Probably best to inspect one before purchase which rules evilbay out, for me at least. It's definitely a viable alternative to the Xpan but the rotating lens means candids are out of the question, quite unlike the Xpan which is more flexible in that regard.

Its just a 'fun toy type camera' really

the best part about it if its not positioned paralle to the ground you get thoes really freaky horizons. so superb

Terence is right about the QC issue I was lucky i got a good set. Even then because of the mechanical shutter every one a while have to play with various shutter speeds so they will not get 'sticky'

I've the very cool older model to sell if you are interested! :) It definitely looks better than the toy-looking plastic 202. ;p Unfortunately it has light leaks and I've got time to try taping it to see if it helps.

Nice attempts but the light seals are leaking a lot! Ever considered changing them?

I did! Sent it to TCW but it seems like that didn't help!

i've always been interested in a horizon 202...nearly got one last time, but dropped the idea for an Oly XA instead. how's the focusing like? is it zone focus?

consider the jap version, the widelux for better qc. I know a few chaps who shoot with it handheld so it should not be a problem.

The widelux is easily about 3 times the price of the Horizon but I guess it represents a pretty good alternative if one doesn't want to deal with the issues of the older Horizons. Good suggestion SK.
