Nice series bro:thumbsup:, but abit over expose..

Well, not bad for a start, Hopes.
Just take note of the hot spot in a few of your IR photos.
Most likely due to the lens that you were using.

Hi bro,

Any PP done on those photos? Awesome IR effect...;)

a point to add, watch out when u are pushing saturation. in #4, noise are beginning to appear.

Looks good .. but seems to have some sign of hot spots in some of the shots

Are you using a modified cam ?

Cause I see that some of the shots are soft or out of focus

@iVintage: Thanks for your comment! I will take note of the exposure when I do my PP next time. Cause usually I have the issue of under exposure and I will try to correct it during PP. Looks like over did it this time.

@limwhow: Thanks for your comment and encouragement. I hopes to achieve what you had in the near future! I am using nikon 18-105mm VR. It is supposed to be okay for IR. But dont know why hotspot still appears. Maybe it is my filter? cause i am using a brandless IR filter.

@wallacetham: I just did some simple PP like channel swop and some colour balance. But glad that you like my IR photo!

@takeshi.lum: Thanks for the advise!! I will take note of it in my future PP.

@Lowlights: Well I am using an unmodified D90 for all my photos. And the hotspot.... it is an issue which I don't know how to rectify. Any tips from you? And thanks for your encourage and comment!

Hopes, sometimes it's just like that.
Even though a lens is supposed to be good for IR, it may just happened that in your case, hot spot happens to appear.
So after a few tries, and you still find hot spot, you may have no choice but to use another lens for your IR camera.

Hi, U may wan to try the Nikon D7o kit lens...18-70 cheap and gd... ;)

Before i comment further .. did this "Hot Spots" appear in any other picture taken at a different day ?

What I know of Hot Spot is that once a lens exhibits that is it Hot Spots prone it will always want to

Suggest ? Change the lens

But do try shooting a few more session to confirm

Cheers

i am using the same lens as u for IR. i do have hotspots at times, it depends on whether i am shooting on a large or small aperture.
if there i'll try to PP it off.

Hi Hopes, just to share, I use unmodded D90 with Tammy 17-50mm under bright sun no hot spots yet.. But on my kit lens 18-105 always have..
