gukars got that special blade for melee purposes i guess?
i think hand guns work best in crowds? eg. glock?
i have seen army in airport wif sar21
but i think the M-16 is kinda too long maybe the comando version works better

Well, I personally find the fixed butt of SG's A1 model negates the weight compensation. The sliding retractable butt for the A3 would be a better choice IMO.

The glock is in use with the Gurhkas. Saw them armed with a Glock 17 (guessing on the model as I wasn't able to examine it closely ;) ) for some time now.

army is phasing out the M16s and replacing the whole army with SAR21s. Even reservist units are getting the upgrade. :D got pros and cons depending on your vocation. :D

M16 (AR15A2 if I am not wrong) is also one of the standard weapons. I think it depends on the operations, in urban built-up area with crowd, MP5 should be the weapon of choice.

They were walking around at Woodlands MRT station, 5pm++ on a weekday.

weapons camo as pens ah.. heeh..

so she's a james bond styleor GI jane one?

Looks at her ranks too, i think its some "dun fool with me" kinda rank. She looks friendly in the pic though.

The one with the HK police is an old version of an MP5 with aimpoint scope attached to a low mount rail, the one with Singapore police is the latest version using light weight materials on the lower reciever.

Singapore = winner

I'm sure the collapsible stock makes up for the weight difference :)

Yes. The 5.56 NATO has much higher probability of over-penetration, where the bullet hits it intended target or a wall, but doesn't stop. Over penetration increases the probability of collateral damage. The 9mm Parabellum has, some say, lower stopping power over the same distance, even in close quarters, but the rate of over-penetration is much lower.

Actually all ball rounds have this problem, esp when we're "forced" to used FMJ's by Geneva's convention.

I find that hollow points would be the better alternative, maximum stopping power with extremely low chance of collateral damage.

Yep, but certainly not as much as rifle rounds or more powerful handgun ammunition, like the .357 magnum, .50 AE or .44 magnum, and purpose-made AP handgun ammunition like the SS190 series. I've read stories of even the .357 over penetrating by several walls and still causing fatal wounds.

HP rounds were banned at the Hague Peace Conferences, not by the Geneva convention, and even then only in warfare was the use of HP prohibited. Our own police force might be using HP rounds. Many other police forces around the world use it, even in the US. Any cops around here?

You don't mind shooting her, what if she shoots back?:what:
that is the price to pay :)

still don't mind shooting her ...
