You can google Hong Kong MTR map. It will not take u more than an hour coz HK is rather small.

Hi guys,

Just came back from HK ytd..got a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 & B+W ND110 from Echo..they charge 2% for CC payment.. got Manfrotto 190 MORE/ R498RC2 from DCFever..

I'd say tt DCFever is pricing more competitive over the rest in Sim City..

Shld have nego. Mr yip can put it down further. My friend bought at 4800.

Hi, I am not sure about the S100, but S95 was much cheaper compared to Singapore when I was there 2 weeks ago. Got a S95 for approximately 450sgd at Tin cheung with additional battery and pouch. Warranty can be converted at their Canon service center to the international one.

Was at Echo earlier today, and the service was excellent. Patient and helpful, you really can't ask for too much. Price was good too, so there's really nothing to complain about here. Met a fellow Singaporean at the store earlier purchasing a Tokina lens (Only noticed the box, but I'm guessing it is the 11-16mm f/2.8).

Probably me .. Just picked up one from mr yip earlier lol

Glad to find this thread!
I am gg to HK next mth..

I am looking for OEM bag and tripod etc. Any one can recommend cheap and good one? And where can I buy them.. I know Man shing is very recommended according to roland. But i believe its mainly lens and body @ manshing.. anyone advise?

Man Shing/Wing Shing have bags too. So does Tin Cheung. But those will be at the regular street price in HK. If u r looking for Billingham bags, Cam2 is a pretty good place with gray sets at a lower price. But their selection might not be as good as the others mentioned above.

For OEM bags and tripods, you should go to Sham Shui Po Apliu Street. Look at the shops listed in the guide, these are small shops selling tons of camera accessories. The other place to look for bags will be Sim City.

Thanks CS Tan for this very helpful thread! I'm going to HK this Chinese New Year. Will most of these camera shops be open at that time? Also, is it cheaper to get a Manfrotto 190xb tripod in HK?

Hi, I will be going to HK this week. Had a long read of this article and have decided to go to Sim City to shop around. I am looking to buy Canon 6ooD, question is, should I buy it with the 18-55 kit lens or buy a body together with a better lens? If yes, which one? I am a newbie so will appreciate some advice.

If I am not wrong 600d kit 1 set is about 5550HKD.

Thank you.

If you are a newbie, suggest you buy with kit lens. You won't know what 'better' lens you need until you start shooting.

went HK last week and the price from all the listed guide has no much difference or no difference from singapore.
felt like was wasting my time searching for the shop especially echo when i check with them the price and told them was
same as singapore and they told me too bad. :(
