Tamron only has 1 year international warranty. You can ask the shop to change the warranty slip from local to international.

Thxs a lot bro for the info. But how many years warranty if we buy locally in singapore?

Local will be 3 yrs.

Thxs for the info bro. Seems that the savings i would make could not match the local warranty....

Personally I feel that Tamron local warranty is not good. The service centre is way too far and inaccessible. Understand that they don't do any repair locally. All repairs are to send back to Japan which can take 1 to 2 months. Did you compare to local grey set pricing?

Yes i did. Actually i found that its ard $100 diff btwn hk n local set n grey sits in btwn. Thats so far the pricing structure i got. So their repairs takes 1-2 mths? That means here is only collection ctr. Where is their service ctr located anyway?

Can I pay by Credit Card in HK shops or do they only give good price for Cash Payment?

Most of the shops will charge the extra 2%. The only shop I am aware of that does not charge extra is Wing Shing/Man Shing.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how much the 60D body is going for in Hong Kong?

Any shops to recommend?

I usually get my pricing from price.com.hk as recommended. The prices are pretty accurate. I just went there and helped my friend get a D5100 from DC Fever

Bro thanks very useful indeed.

Do panasonic lenses bought in HK have int'l warranty?

Has anyone purchased from Vivaphoto before?

I am looking to get Sony NEX-5N double kit on my HK trip, their package (HKD 6,240) seems attractive, with additional 8GB+battery at HKD 299 (not sure if it is ori/3rd party battery though)

Otherwise, AST Global sounds like an alternative (HKD 6,180) without free gifts.

Or should I just go for TinCheung/ManShing/WingShing/FCFever?

All the shops that you have mentioned above are all quite ok. Tin Cheung and Wing Shing are located in more popular tourist area so sometimes they tends to price their items higher. AST Global does not provide a shop front so you will need to arrange for delivery.

CS TAN, thanks for the info! will check them out soon :)

You can check out Sim City at Mongkok. Saw lots of accessories of various cameras being sold there

I thought of buying a velbon tripod in HK. Are the prices there good, and which shops carry them? I'm looking for the ultrek 43

thanks, the price next to it have a chinese word 'shui' , it mean the price is base on water good? thanks

Yup, it means water goods. I ask my friend to help me buy a tokina last dec and the price is ard 700+ to 800. About 200 cheaper than in SG. I was there last week but the price they displayed is around the same as SG. Think maybe have to ask the salesperson for best price.

By the way, the Nikon 85mm F1.8g seemed more expensive over there.
