Honeymoon @ taiwan 2011

Hi bro, care to share what lens you brought for the trip? I like the FOV in your photos :D

I'm planning a backpacking trip to Taiwan in November, and will likely be travelling mainly by railway. Still deciding on a lens to bring, but likely I'll just bring along a single prime 50mm 1.8 with D90...

Hi brkit!

Hmm Im using 7D so brought with me tamron 17-50 f2.8 vc, canon 70-200F4L IS (bought in taiwan) and canon 28mm f1.8

Have not post other photos other than landscape shots. Both the prime and 70-200 produce good shots of wildlife and portraits in my opinion :)

Depends on where I'm going then I will decide between the prime and my 70-200 but 17-50 is always with me.. The shots u see are all with my tamron except #5 & #15 with 70-200. ;)

Most of the time when out in the night I will only mount my 28mm on the cam and just carry it in hand. While day outing will be mostly tamron and 70-200 with tripod and some others accessories like ir remote to take shots of me and wife together with cam on tripod, a no. of filters for landscape.

Kinda shag with my kit and my bags and luggages travelling from city to city round island but fulfilling.. Haha

Hope this helps! Hmm I'll be uploading my itinerary soon once i export frm ipad to share for anyone who like to just take a look and probably some useful info inside to extract

Cheers

Hi sinned!

Sorry for the late reply.. was on exercise..

#6 was at alishan. the place famous for their tea leaves.. everywhere u go in taiwan u can see alishan tea drink haha. anyway this place when you're there u need to wake up at about 330 to either walk or take a bus to the sunrise place.. by about 430 have to reach the top to have time to set up and wait. upon reaching there the place most ppl will station to watch isnt the best spot, when you're there just ask where is the helipad and they will direct u or just see the signboard. the helipad area less crowded and higher point. famous for their sunrise which is above clouds.

#7 to #10 is at penghu county, an island off taiwan mainland. i took a domestic flight over. great place to shoot.. i self drive over at this island because there's many sightseeing sites. what i did whatever signboard that reads a sightseeing site i will turn in to take a look or whatever thats spells interest to me.. many landscape here. regret to spend only 2 days 1 night here.. should have stayed longer. and at every monday and thurs there will be fireworks at their town

hope this helps. need more info just ask me !

hi jxong,
if you could include some write-up on each of the photos or at least the name of those places, that will be great..

anyhow, i like ur series.. :)

I am going in December! Your photos are giving me good inspiration  but make the wait much more long now ...

Don't think my picture will be half as good due to equipment but the sceneries is worth capturing.
