i think that it's too dumb (at least for myself) to get upset over such competitions. If i were to submit a photo, i wouldn't expect myself to win anything. Ultimately, whether winning or not depends on the panel of judges' preference. It's too subjective, not like soccer or basketball, where the stronger team wins.
