Hi there, kindly pardon my post:

Just got a Holga CFN as a present, and processed my 1st roll taken with the film that came with the package. But I was really disappointed when I saw that majority of the negatives (about 10 out of 12) were blank.

I believe it's a case of overexposure, but I'm not sure what exactly went wrong that caused it. I followed the instructions in the manual closely but they still turned out this way =( Could it be the fact that I didn't tape up my Holga or something else? Kindly advise me please. Thanks alot =)

The blanks on the negatives, were they dark black or white? If it's black den it's overexposed..if white then maybe you forgot to remove the lenscap. Hehe.

Another thing, was your holga set on bulb mode? If yes den if you held the trigger too long you could get overexposed shots too.

:bsmilie: good analysis

Hmm they are white, but I did remove the lens cap. I'm not too sure about the Bulb mode thing you're talking about though.
It appears that only those taken with flash came out alright, the rest were just blank.

So sorry :embrass:

Hmm..probably you were shooting in very dark conditions therefore the pics came out all dark.

Tot you read the manual? :p
Check the bottom of your holga..there's this switch to switch bt bulb and normal mode.

hi all! :D

got my holga 120G a few days back from perly. lol rather new to photography started out as using digital cam :P, and was a happy-trigger guy, cos the SD cards offer so many storages.

now a bit not use to films, i just used up 36shots within 15mins the day b4 to try out my holga -_-"..

was reading somewhere about cross processing a bit vague, but after reading, yes i readed all. :laugh3: got a clearer idea to google.. and found out what is needed. btw how much are those films needed for x-processing? films are expensive to play around :P anyway later i'll be going to peinsular to take alook at film prices, just asking arnd for fun :P

oh show you guys a few of my shots taken by my 3.2mp lumix ( p&s camera)

i submitted this for 1 competiton.. i think was the singapore history museum.. francis Ng was one of the judges though.. haha although i dont know who he was. i was like wtf, why is that guy talking so much?.. lol no offense if u're reading francis.

modded for 35mm :D

was reading thru this thread, i just don't get why so many people can make so much noise and ask someone to help them with the mod. i just googled for the mod, took me 5mins to do everything. and it cost me almost zero $ to do it. sheesh people just dont read and google.

woah slide films aint cheap  $10-$15... got to save up.

looks like im sticking to regular film for a few more rounds b4 i go into slides. 34 clicks on the winder was too much  found out the hardway. trying 24 clicks nx rnd.

well if uv mod it to 35mm.. a roll would cost you around 5-10bucks. ahh its 24 clicks actually to be safe use 25. btw i dont mod my holga. i bought the 35mm insert from perly and it works much much better than modded yourself.

ah goodie $5-$10 :D

the mod i done, is pretty easy and works very well. i just don't see the point in getting another insert i probably wont be using. the stock insert that came with my holga is lying somewhere in my room now. haha

i went to develop my negative just now at the kodak shop near my hse. 36shots roll i only managed to get like 18 shots on the film, the rest were overwinded.

prob tonight trying another round when i go m.o.s later. or maybe not. haha

btw anyway hot shoe flash to recommend for the holga? *cheap ones* haha. trying to keep the cost of holga low. hobbies need money to maintain

hey bro quadspd,

your pics abit too large man! :p

you can buy cheaper slides at ruby..i do remember paying $7.50 for kodak slides..but of cos fuji's more ex.

You can do xpro at Sunset way! Grace digital should be able to do it. Last time i went he does..but that was eons ago. Check with Simon and let us know! :)
