Hey guys! Great to know there's a group for lomo fanatics here. I AM LOOKING FOR A HOLGA! But I can't seem to find one no matter where in singapore I go. Hmm... wonder why.

Can I get even one glass lens 35mm holga from the stores in town?

Anyone knows? HELP ME JOIN YOU GUYS...

what's wrong with plastic lens?? anyway seriously, the only holga i saw on sale in SG was overpriced. when i got mine, it was thru a CS group/mass order, i appreciate the effort of the guy who arranged it. IIRC, < 50 bucks for my plastic-lens-no-flash holga. i think having a hotshoe is much better.

Look for Perly. Perly sells Holgas. You should be able to get something.

Good luck!

actually the glass dosent really have much effect... nth beats a cheap lomo loaded with expired slides waiting to be cross processed!. **** any dslr brands. lomo is the way to go!. its a way of life. hahaha..

ok this is wat 2 hrs of sleep and a 5k word essay about classical narrative cinema does to you!!

Anybody know where to get a good-priced Lomo LC-A locally? Is ebay the best place to get it, cheap?
And what do i have to look out for when i get a 2nd hand LC-A?

And if i get the Holga + 35mm adapter, will there be any crop factor? And will i still get the ultra strong vignetting effect?

hello! (:

I;ve just developed my first roll of Holga pictures the other day, but they were rather blurry/out-of-focus.. I've read from other forums that higher speed film would be mroe desireable, especially in low-light conditions. I've been trying to find medium speed film but it's practically non-existant in Singapore! the best i've got was an expired roll of 160, which was actually a 120 inside the box (i have no idea why). Does anyone know where I may purchase higher speed medium-speed film? preferably ISO 400, or at least 200.

another question: what type of film do you usually use for your Holga?

oh! also, my multi-exposure shots didnt turn out at all.. what is the most effective way to take multi-exposure shots without having them turn out all black?

thank you! :D

Hi,

As far as I know all the LC-As you can find here are from the lomo package which is new. If you want to get it cheap it's probably gonna be 2nd or thru ebay. If you decide on ebay, do check on the seller's reputation. Check on the sticky shutter or loose/missing screws and the age of the LC-A. If there's the lomoboy logo on the cam, then it's probably not so old.

Err..if you shoot 35mm with the holga you'll probably just get the center portion of your shot and with the film sprockets. I doubt you'll get any vignetting at all. :p

Good luck with your search!

If you want sharper pix you need to work on your distancing/focus. You need to turn the lens to correspond to the distance. Each picture represents a certain distance to focus. 1 person will be like 1m and so on. It's in your manual of not just search the net.

Well, I wouldn't say the film is non-existant. Have you tried Ruby and Cathay photo at Peninsular? Lots of 120 film there. I think the number inside the box is telling you that it's 120 format film and not the speed. It's easier to get higher speed b/w film such as ilford xp2 which is 400asa.

I normally use Ilford xp2 for b/w and any slide film when I do xpro. It's better to shoot lower speed film in bright light if not use a flash. :p

All black? What and where did you take those shots? Did you remember to remove the lens cap? Hehe.
