Holga CFN or Holga 120GN?

I cannot decide which camera to get? Anyone has experience with both cameras? Does the glass lens make a big difference and is the Colorflash a lot more fun to play with?

The glass lens doesnt make much of a diff..the fun about the holga is all abt the plastic feel.
The colourflash does help to make your shots a little more interested.
Go for the CFN.

Is it true if the CFN flash breaks down, it affects the entire camera? How does the CFN change different colour flashes?

if u want to get LC-A i suggest now
cuz u can only get a refurbished one
brand new from ebay is expensive and most of the time u dun win the bid one

i shoot with the glass lens WOCA i think pirated version of the 120GN

anyway pictures are quite sharp if you can gauge the distance properly, the colors are rich, alot of light leaks if you shoot at the sun or if the sun is above your head.

get the one with the flash, more versitile. like in room can shoot also

play with the multiple exposure. quite fun!

I disagree. I am using a Woca 120GF. Glass+Flash built in. :thumbsup:

oh haha yeah i forget abt the glass one with flash

er LC-A allows automatic seting or manual setting, depending on ur need, the body is also metal, and much more solid feel from the Holga, and it is much much smaller,

the light sensor for the auto mode is actually quite accurate, and you can adjust the light sensor accordingly to the film you use, or trick the camera and get very vibrant colors on film. russian lens tend to give more staturation colors

i prefer the LC-A, but i like to shoot with both, as they give very different effect lor.. get both!!

So it's back to either Holga CFN or Holga 120GN. If anyone else has recommendations b/w the two, please let me know!

CFN FTW! it's damn fun to play with. using yellow flash on a dull day would give that ancient kind of feel.

do get filters as well. someone is selling they filter set of 3s in yahoo for SGD50. gonna get it later coz i process my 1200mms until wallet got big big hole ahahaha T____T

A quick explaination of the naming methology for Holgas

120 - Medium Format aka 120
G - Glass Lens (Default is plastic)
F - Flash
C - Color

Combo together equates the features on each model.

So a CFN=color flash plastic lens model while a GN=Glass Lens model

The WOCA is a Holga, it was the original name for glass lens holgas.
But the names was converted to a G denote so as to allow a common holga name.
