i just got a holga and was wondering how do i estimate how long i should leave my shutter open for night photography? i read that 1 or 2s should be enough.. how many sec did you use for yours? :)

the colours on the steps for #2 are nice!

very nice colours! :D

thanks.. these are abt 8-10s exposures on Fuji 160S..

it really depends on the ISO you're using. hmmm. at 160, he got his exposure at 8-10 seconds, 400 should give you 3-5 seconds?

oh. and the amount of lighting involved also affects the exposure time. if you ask me, his pics had quite a lot of light for a night scene.

anyway, just 'feel' the roll. hahaha. shoot more night scenes and you'll get good at how long your exposure should be!

by the way, nice captures. the coloured steps were the best.

ooh i like the texture of the ground on #1! its illuminated by the lights installed on the steps right?

this camera is strictly speaking does not meant for panoramice or stiching scene, as its sharpness only focus around the centre of the image, once joined it will become...blur..sharp...blur...sharp...blur.

well, since when "strictly speaking" applies to the holga? ;p

since the design and production stage. the real pano camera is the widelux.

on second note, alternative photgraphy lies no boundary...do whatever you want and can, as long as the end result is unpredictable ( different from the mainstream ). the best is, every roll give a surprising result, and the passion of experimental photography will continue to grow....good luck guys !
