Yes true, the weather condition like this is hard for me to drive also. We took a tour package there instead. You should visit there again. A place worth to re visit again.

I went in August to see the fall colours (but I think we were there 2 weeks too early). The sun set at 5pm+. In the winter I'm guess it gets dark at 3-4pm?
I was driving then, don't think I would dare to do a driving trip in the winter. Thank you for the nice shots. Would indeed love to go again but the yen has gone up so much since 2008 I have been baulking at the cost. Seems better value to go to other places at the moment... but I must say I really love Hokkaido!

Yes you are right. The Sun set is around 4pm during winter time. I recalled we have to rush to a place call Lake Notoro Coral Grass, the place is getting dark when we are reaching there around 4pm.

The pic i taken is not the famous Roller Coster Road. Is along the way to Monbetus.

I don't see the Yen is going to drop back to the rate in 2008. i recall that time is 13 something compare to now 15. No more hesitate JUST go!:bsmilie:

I brought along my Pentax 17-17 F4 and 50-135 F2.8.
Sorry bro i am using Pentax K5.
