He was there to help catch the bed bugs that infested the bus drivers' living quarters.

Most likely these people will be staying near the Changi Chapel for a while before going back to their motherland. My guess, 3 months + $1,000 fine :-).

That's our "Oppa SingaporeStyle"!

this development will be even more exciting when the Chinese Consul pleads their case :D

8 people crammed into that small room? seriously? Singaporeans are already complaining that the tekong BMT bunks are small and crowded (which i think is still pretty spacious)... how much worse is this?

as well as the mattresses. this is like POW standards.

Design to squeeze many people in one room.
I think the Dormitory, Army Bunk and Prison are design by same group of people :bsmilie:

FYI the army bunks and amenities are pretty spacious and welfare is rather good. The only people who complain about it are those who have too much comfort in their lives

The former CEO of SMRT was too busy with retail, so for many years, neglected the accommodation situation of these bus drivers. The new CEO took over and the time bomb burst.

I am just curious about the legality of confining the deportees in Prison Facilities.

Firstly are they being wrongfully restrained or being "imprisoned" without charge?

The next thing would be if they were not charged with anything, what justifies using taxpayer expense (if any) or taxpayer funded facilities to house labor-dispute employees of a private corporation?

I am not making statement of facts but questions of inquiry... I wish i studied law.
