HK Vacation Through a Rangefinder

I decided to buy a rangefinder not too long ago as the bulkiness and weight of my Canon DSLR was making it very tedious and uninspiring for me to lug around a camera. I wanted to take nice pictures and yet not carry the weight and hassle of the size of a DSLR with a good L lens.

I particularly wanted to be free of this burden especially during vacations, where you are already carrying a million and one things already on your back and in your luggage. My trip to HK a few days back was the first on site test of my RF for I wanted to do. Here are the some shots that I took:

I also found the building across ours very interesting and full of "activity"

I love this camera... I love it enough for me to forgive it for the SD card it ate up and destroyed on the third day of our vacation while we were in Ocean Park. It's honestly the camera I enjoy using the MOST out of my photography rig!

some lovely shots you have there. did you manage to take the tram on hk island? also care to share what lens were you using?

Very nice pictures. Dunno why... i didn't find much interesting subjects to take when I was in Hong Kong... Maybe my eyes weren't trained enough to notice interesting subjects.

Nice take.

Hong kong is a vibrant city with lots of old and new buildings side by side, and many different people of different walk of life

Thanks Lord! I only used one lens throughout the whole trip ... a 35mm Summilux lens :)

Thanks Nedy! What I did notice while I was there was that the population seems to be aging! I noticed a lot of old people there

am i seeing this shot wrong? is that a drop off from the ledge?

ah... just wallpaper...

LOL good one! The wallpaper was a really nice vibrant one and that's what made me think of letting my son play around there :)

Very nice series. Were you using Sandisk? I have since switched to Sony SD.
