Hitachi 4GB Microdrive

Anybody knows where to get the Hitachi 4GB Microdrive locally? Should cost less than $500.

Else I'll arrange for a MO if enough people is interested.

Any evidence to show it is indeed a 4GB Hitachi MD? Or could it be other brand? Also, what would be the warranty like if I take it out of the iPod? The Creative Nomad 4GB is a Hitachi inside, found in one of the threads in www.dpreview.com forum.

they are the only ones so far with the 4gb i think.

and very obviously you can't remove the drives from those devices mentioned.

Not sure about 4GB devices, but many < 2GB devices use Cornice Storage elements, which are cheaper than conventional microdrives.
